Beginning & intermediate tango dance classes w Carrie Field, Berkeley

Join us for tango classes with Carrie Field in Berkeley!  Carrie’s classes are influenced by her experience in Pilates, Gyrotonics and Yoga. She writes, “I hope to offer insight that enhances physical presence with yourself and your partner. Wednesdays, May 20th & 27th, and June 3rd
6:45 pm: check-in
7:00-8:00 pm: beginning tango 
8:00-8:30 pm: practica
8:30-9:30 pm: intermediate tango
9:30-10:00 pm: practica

The beginner class is open to all levels. The intermediate class is geared towards people who have been dancing for at least three months (12 tango classes).

These classes are taught using the terms “leaders” and “followers,” and are inclusive to queer, trans, and non-binary people.  No partner necessary; the teachers encourage people to switch partners throughout the class.

We encourage everyone to sign up for all three dates, but drop-ins are also welcome.

The practicas are included with the classes. Stay, dance, and ask questions! Beginners may stay and watch the intermediate class. Intermediates may arrive at 8:00 to practice together with the beginners.

$60 general admission (three classes, beg. or int.)
$25 general admission (single class, beg. or int.)
$15 student with ID (single class, beg. or int.)
We accept cash and venmo at the door.

Drinks are for sale at Morgan’s Bar and Lounge, across the hall from the ballroom. All ages are welcome in the dance classes.  This is one of the most beautiful tango venues in the San Francisco Bay Area!
