David Orly-Thompson: beginning and intermediate tango @ La Bruja

The beginner class is geared towards absolute beginners and anyone who would like to work on their fundamentals. For the intermediate class, we recommend that you have been dancing tango frequently for at least six months.

These classes are taught as “leaders” and “followers” and are inclusive to folks of all genders, non-binary & LGBTQ+.

7:00-8:00 pm beginner class

8:00-8:30 pm practica
8:30-9:30 pm intermediate class
9:00-10:00 pm practica

$20 beginner class (cash only)
$20 intermediate class (cash only)
$35 for both classes (cash only)
$15 for student with ID (cash only)

The practica is included with the class. Students from both classes are encouraged to dance together during the practica.

We are in the ballroom (upstairs, with wooden floor) on all dates.

We are a 10-minute walk from Downtown Berkeley BART. For bike parking, use the bell to enter through the service entrance, and go straight to get to the back courtyard. No parking in the City Club lot. Extra parking is available for $2 per hour at the Ellsworth Structure at 2337 Haste St.
