La Bruja: Drop-in tango class with Astrid Weiske

Two dates only! Drop-in tango class for all levels with Astrid Weiske, visiting from Queertango Berlin!

This is a queer-friendly event where all genders are welcome to lead or follow. No partner necessary.

7:00-8:00 pm class
8:00-10:00 pm guided practica

$20 class and practica (general)
$15 class and practica (student with ID)
$10 practica only (no class)

Proof of vaccination and ID required. Masks are mandatory.  We are now requiring N95, KN95, or KF94 masks.  If you don’t have one, we have some extras.

Bring shoes in which you can pivot/swivel (no rubber soles). Socks work fine too.  The floor is slippery–wear suede-soled shoes if you have them.

This class takes place in the Berkeley City Club ballroom (2nd floor). To enter the building, ring the bell and say “tango.”

You can dine before class at Julia’s Restaurant in the Berkeley City Club, or purchase a drink at Morgan’s Bar and Lounge (until 9:00 pm).

We are a 10-minute walk from Downtown Berkeley BART. No non-member parking in the Berkeley City Club lot. Street parking is free after 6:00.
