La Bruja: early practica with Felipe and Ayano

Wednesdays, January 12th-February 23rd.

The beginner class is now closed to new students.  Drop-ins are welcome at the practica–only $10!  Drop-in classes will resume on March 2nd.

8:00-10:00 pm practica

All genders are welcome to lead or follow. No partner necessary. Bring shoes in which you can pivot/swivel (no rubber soles). Socks work fine too.

Proof of vaccination and ID required. Masks are mandatory.  We are now requiring N95, KN95, or KF94 masks.  If you don’t have one, we have some extras.

Felipe Martinez and Ayano Yoneda are full-time Argentine tango teachers with more than 30 years of experience combined. Felipe is from Spain; Ayano is from Japan, and they are based in the Bay Area. They are regularly invited to teach and perform around the world.

This event takes place in the Berkeley City Club ballroom (2nd floor). To enter the building, ring the bell and say “tango.”

You can dine before class at Julia’s Restaurant in the Berkeley City Club, or purchase a drink at Morgan’s Bar and Lounge (until 9:00 pm).

We are a 10-minute walk from Downtown Berkeley BART. No non-member parking in the Berkeley City Club lot. Street parking is free after 6:00.
