Tango 101 (beginner) and Intermediate Tango class with Felipe & Ayano

La Bruja presents a 5-week beginner series AND a 5-week intermediate series with Argentine Tango instructors Felipe Martinez and Ayano Yoneda. Both series meet Wednesdays, April 10th, 17th, 24th, and May 1st & 8th.  Drop-ins are welcome.

These classes are taught as “leaders” and “followers” and are inclusive to folks of all genders, non-binary & LGBTQ+.

Tango 101 is open to total beginners and anyone who wants to work on their fundamentals. This series is also great for people who are starting to learn the other role. For the intermediate class, we recommend that you have been dancing frequently for at least six months.

8:00-8:30 pm practica
8:30-9:30 pm Intermediate Series
9:30-10:00 pm practica

We encourage students from both classes to dance together during the practica. Intermediate students, try to arrive at 8:00!

Drinks are available across the hall at Morgan’s Bar and Lounge. All ages are welcome in the dance classes.

$25 cash or venmo (single class)
$20 for students with ID

We are a 10-minute walk from Downtown Berkeley BART. For bike parking, use the bell to enter through the service entrance, and go straight to get to the back courtyard. No parking in the City Club lot. Extra parking is available for $2 per hour at the Ellsworth Structure at 2337 Haste St.  This is one of the most beautiful tango venues in the San Francisco Bay Area.
