She was interested in both roles from the day she started tango\, and studied with various teachers in Istanbul and Buenos Aires. \nIn 2009\, Ezgi founded TangoSam\, a vibrant and inclusive tango community in her hometown Samsun\, where she started teaching and organizing Mar Negro Open Role Tango Marathon. She has honed her skills as a teacher and performer for more than a decade\, and is now the most highly sought after dual role dancer internationally. She has been invited to teach and perform at many organizations\, festivals and events across Europe\, Asia and most recently the United States. DESCRIPTION:Tango teacher Luz Castineiras is back in February! In the beginner series\, we focus on foundational moves for social dancing. In the intermediate series\, we focus on vals.  Luz will cover some topics that are different from the January series. \nWednesdays\, February 5th\, 12th\, 19th\, and 26th\n6:45-7:00 pm check-in\n7:00-8:00 pm beginner series\n8:00-8:30 pm practica\n8:30-9:30 pm intermediate (vals) series\n9:30-10:00 pm practica \nThe beginner series is geared towards total beginners and people who have been dancing tango for less than six months. \nThis dance class is taught using the terms “leaders” and “followers” and is inclusive to queer\, trans\, and non-binary people. \nThe practicas are included with the classes.  Intermediate students are welcome to arrive at 8:00 pm. \nOn Wednesday\, February 26th\, tango teacher Christopher Nassopoulos will be teaching the class. \n$80 general admission (four classes in February\, beginner or intermediate)\n$25 drop-in rate (single class\, beginner or intermediate)\n$15 drop-in rate for student with ID\nPlease use cash or venmo. \nYou can register for the series on eventbrite for $87.21 (fees included)\nhttps://www.eventbrite.com/e/1205788147809\nYou can register without fees by emailing info AT labrujatangoberkeley DOT com. \nDrinks are for sale at Morgan’s Bar and Lounge\, across the hall from the ballroom.  All ages are welcome in the dance classes.
