DESCRIPTION:Mira Barakat is coming back to teach beginning tango and intermediate tango! Mira is a full-time professional tango teacher who is equally excellent at leading and following. She helps students create connection and communication in their dance\, while explaining the technique very clearly.\n.\nThe beginner class is geared towards total beginners. For the intermediate class\, we recommend that you have been dancing tango regularly for at least six months.\n.\nThis dance class is taught using the terms “leaders” and “followers” and is inclusive to queer\, trans\, and non-binary people.\n.\nWednesdays\, Nov. 13th through Dec. 18th7:00-8:00 pm beginner class8:00-8:30 pm practica8:30-9:30 pm intermediate class9:30-10:00 pm practica\n.\nIntermediate students are welcome to arrive at 8:00 to start practicing!\n.\n$120 for a six-week series (beginner or intermediate)\n$90 for student with ID (beg. or int.)$25 general admission (single class)$15 student with ID (single class)\n.\nDrinks are for sale at Morgan’s Bar and Lounge\, across the hall. SUMMARY:Beginning tango series and vals series w/ Luz Castineiras in Berkeley
DESCRIPTION:Tango teacher Luz Castineiras is back in February! In the beginner series\, we focus on foundational moves for social dancing. In the intermediate series\, we focus on vals.  Luz will cover some topics that are different from the January series. \nWednesdays\, February 5th\, 12th\, 19th\, and 26th\n6:45-7:00 pm check-in\n7:00-8:00 pm beginner series\n8:00-8:30 pm practica\n8:30-9:30 pm intermediate (vals) series\n9:30-10:00 pm practica \nThe beginner series is geared towards total beginners and people who have been dancing tango for less than six months. \nThis dance class is taught using the terms “leaders” and “followers” and is inclusive to queer\, trans\, and non-binary people. \nThe practicas are included with the classes.  Intermediate students are welcome to arrive at 8:00 pm. \nOn Wednesday\, February 26th\, tango teacher Christopher Nassopoulos will be teaching the class. \n$80 general admission (four classes in February\, beginner or intermediate)\n$25 drop-in rate (single class\, beginner or intermediate)\n$15 drop-in rate for student with ID\nPlease use cash or venmo. \nYou can register for the series on eventbrite for $87.21 (fees included)\nhttps://www.eventbrite.com/e/1205788147809\nYou can register without fees by emailing info AT labrujatangoberkeley DOT com. \nDrinks are for sale at Morgan’s Bar and Lounge\, across the hall from the ballroom.  All ages are welcome in the dance classes. On Wednesday\, February 5th\, the class is in the drawing room (first floor).  All other classes are held in the ballroom (second floor). \nWe are a 10-mintue walk from Downtown Berkeley BART.  For bike parking\, use the bell to enter through the service entrance\, and go straight to get to the back courtyard.  No parking in the City Club lot.  Extra parking is available for $2 per hour at the Ellsworth Structure at 2337 Haste St. \nwww.labrujatangoberkeley.com
