The ensemble plays traditional Argentine tango\, tango nuevo\, and original compositions influenced by jazz. They have extraordinary passion\, fresh sound\, and a unique style that is perfect for dancing. In their music\, tango gains new life\, continually inspiring the next generation of dancers. \nAll four members of Bandonegro were born in Poznań\, Poland\, and have been playing music together since they were kids. The musicians are Michał Główka\, (bandoneon)\, Jakub Czechowicz (violin)\, Marek Dolecki (piano)\, and Marcin Antkowiak (double bass). \nAshkenaz has a real wooden dance floor with plenty of space.  Beer\, wine\, non-alcoholic drinks\, and empanadas are offered for sale.  All ages welcome. DESCRIPTION:Luz Castineiras teaches beginning tango\, followed by a chacarera class! Come on out for either class\, or both! Two dates only.  Beginners are welcome in both classes. No partner necessary. The instructor encourages everyone to switch partners throughout the class. The classes are taught using the terms “leaders” and “followers” and are inclusive to queer\, trans\, and non-binary people. For over five years\, she researched tango as a therapy tool to improve social-emotional and cognitive skills in palliative care settings.\n​Luz studied contemporary dance and Music therapy in addition to tango. She began dancing tango at Studio Dinzel in Buenos Aires\, where she was able to incorporate these two disciplines. In 2011\, she moved to the Bay Area and began teaching tango with various partners at la Pista SF\, Studio 1924\, and Alma del Tango Studio.\nLuz is a heart-and-soul tango dancer\, and her dance communicates her strength and knowledge of music.​ In her classes\, students are encouraged to explore tango and dance techniques\, connection and musicality. She creates a friendly\, inviting atmosphere for learning and always looks for active feedback from students.
