DESCRIPTION:Powerhouse female tango pianist Sumi Lee\, vocalist Teresa Tam and Bandoneón player Heyni Solera come together for an evening of tango music at SHACK15 on October 20 at 6pm. \nHaving originally bonded in Buenos Aires\, Lee and Solera\, collectively known as Las Almas Piano and Bandoneón Duo\, are drawn by a mutual love of tango music\, as well as a realization of the inequality of professional opportunity for women in the Tango genre. They will be joined by a guest singer\, the Bay Area-based vocalist Teresa Tam. \nThe trio will present traditional\, nuevo\, and contemporary Argentine tango music that will take you on a magical journey to Buenos Aires\, performing pieces that were written and arranged by tango legends such as Pugliese\, Piazzolla\, Salgan\, and many more.
