DESCRIPTION:Come join the Stanford Tango Club in five weeks of Argentine tango classes with Felipe Martinez and Ayano Yoneda! These wonderful teachers teach and DJ around the world and we are grateful to collaborate with them each year at Stanford. They provide insightful and precise instruction in a welcoming and joyous environment. \nClasses will be held on Wednesdays\, October 12th-November 9th\, location TBD \n\n6:00-7:30pm – Fundamentals Series with 30 minute practica following\n8:00-9:30pm – Intermediate Series\n9:30-11:30pm – Donation-based Practica\n\nFull series registration required so that we can progress together as a group over the course of five weeks. Payment will be in person at the first session! Drop-ins to the practica are welcome and encouraged!  \nPricing is for one series only! x2 if you would like to take both fundamentals and intermediate. \n\n$125 for non-students (payment at first class)\n$25 for Stanford undergraduate or graduate students with ID\n$75 for non-Stanford students with ID\n\nPayment options and refund policy: \nFor non-Stanford students: payment at first class by check\, venmo\, or cash. \nStanford students: payment at second class. DESCRIPTION:Las Almas is returning to La Bruja\, joined by amazing guest singer Vero Freidkes. Las Almas is an all-women tango ensemble made up of bandoneonist Heyni Solera\, pianist Sumi Lee\, and violinist Teagan Faran. Arrive on time to enjoy the concert\, and then stay for the dancing! With DJ Robert playing traditional tango music.\n\n6:30 doors open\, bar open\n7:00-7:40 sit-down concert\n7:40-10:00 milonga with two tandas of live music\n\n$25 general admission (cash only)\n$15 full-time students with ID (cash only)\nMasks required.\n\nThose who arrive between 7:00 and 7:40 will be seated during the applause between pieces.\n\nThis is a queer-friendly event where all genders are welcome to lead and follow. Drinks (full bar) and empanadas are offered for sale (cards accepted for refreshments).\n\nThis event takes place in the ballroom on the second floor. The floor is slippery.  To enter the building\, ring the bell and say “tango!” We are a 10-minute walk from Downtown Berkeley BART.
